Oregon or Wisconsin?

Author's Note:  Which team will win Ducky or Bucky?  I encourage you to watch the Rose Bowl because it will be close.  This post will tell you my feedback about what I think will happen in the Rose Bowl.

On January 2 Ducky is playing Bucky, which means the Wisconsin Badgers are playing the Oregon Ducks.  In my opinion the game is going to be close and the game could go either way.  If the Badgers play good I know they will win.  Russell Wilson will hopefully have his “A” game and the other team won’t.  The rose bowl is played in Pasadena, California, which is good because it always has good weather!

Poem for All of the Cowboys out There

Authors Note:  This poem is dedicated to all of the Cowboys that live in the Wild West.  This poem rhymes, so please read it all.  I put a lot of work to write this paragraph.

Cowboys are from the Wild West,

Many of them wear leather vests.

Boys are cowboys and girls are cowgirls,

There is a famous cowboy named Earl.

Cowboys get around by horseback,

Some cowboys named their horses Jack.

Horses are always nice,

I’m pretty sure they don’t eat mice.

They are big and strong,

Horses hardly do anything wrong.

Can horses fly?

How old are they when they die?

The food that you can put anything on!

 Authors Note: My favorite food is pizza.  After I tell you about the delicious ingredients in pizza and some restaurants I recommend,  hopefully your favorite food is pizza.

What is your favorite food? By far my favorite is pizza.  That’s because of the perfect layer of meat, cheese, sauce, and crust.  If you ever have a craving for pizza, here are some ideas of restaurants.  Well first my favorite is Dominos that is the best because they changed the taste of their pizza.  Pizza Hut is second in my opinion because, they have the best type of crust and I love the pepperoni pizza.  Pizza is the best!!

What's your favorite color?

Author’s Note:  Many people have favorite color.  My favorite color is red.  At the end of this writing I hope red is your favorite color.

Red is the best color in the world!!!!  The main color for the Pewaukee Pirates is red.  Many people like purple and blue as their favorite color.  Well the story is that I hate purple because it is Waukesha North’s color.  I dislike blue too, because New Berlin West’s main color is blue.  Red, red, red is my favorite because of the brightness of the color and because it looks good with everything.

Christmas the Great Holiday

Author's Note: Children that read this please remember to be good or you won't get presents from Santa.

               
Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa is coming to town. All of the little children are waiting for the special day of Christmas, when Santa comes and brings presents. The boys and girls are trying to be in their greatest behavior.  They don’t get on Santa’s naughty list, causing them to get coal.  So little children, be good or Santa will give you coal or maybe skip your home.

 Author's Note: I wrote a poem about summer.  It is a great poem but, it doesn't rhyme.  I put a lot of thought to if so, read it carefully. 

Summer is a great time of year!

Under bridges people go fishing!

Many people have sports and activities!

Melting ice-cream is a problem if you have a cone!

Early in the morning birds are singing!

The Story That Went Happy to Sad

Author’s note:  In my essay focus on learning to look on the positives in life because there are always doing to be negatives. Read the essay carefully because it, also talks about that you should accept life the way it is.

Most people in the world don’t have random stray dogs come to their house and eat all of their food.  The people in the story Old Yeller, by Fred Gibson,saw the dog eating their food and were very upset. The people finally, overcame the problem by helping the dog survive by letting it stay in their barn and feeding it. In the book Old Yeller the beginning is happy about discovering the dog, but the end is tragic and makes most readers explode into a river of tears. This story Old Yeller teaches readers to overcome sadness with real life examples.

Why? At the beginning of the fantastic story the characters in Old Yeller uncover a dog snacking on their dinner.  They got very angry with the dog and hated the dog during that time.  Then the people in Old Yeller finally forgave the dog and felt bad for it.  The dog was a stray and wasn’t in the best shape because it had to hunt for its own food. The family decides the stray could stay in their nice barn, because their son wanted a dog badly. His parents couldn’t afford a dog.  When the child thought about the dog for a little bit he thought the dog could chase away the crows that ate the corn in the corn crops. The boy could use an extra friend, too.

The people that lived on the farm, were happy because they found a dog that would be useful to them. Yeah, I got a dog! The beginning it was great when they found the dog.  In the middle it was a little sad because Old Yeller got hurt.  Then the dog healed and was fine for about another 6 months or so and no one was worried.  

One day, then the owner of the dog heard some weird and loud noises outside.  When the owner came outside, he saw Old Yeller and a wolf attacking each other and it didn’t end pretty.  Old Yeller got bite by the rabid animal and foamed in the mouth, because of rabies. Wouldn’t that hurt you if you saw something that you were connected to that was hurting.  The family on the farm found out how it felt.  Horrible!

Old Yeller was a fantastic book, but if I could change one thing I would have the story start sad and end happy.  The book Old Yeller would would be way better, to people it was remembered as a happy and exciting book.  Not a sad and unhappy book, like it was.  Old Yeller, the dog, should have been injured at the start and then improved , and be happy at the end.  Why would the story be happy then sad, it should be sad then happy?

The book Old Yeller had great lessons that taught me to overcome sadness and accept life as it is.  Old Yeller had great real life examples and great lessons to be learned.  You should focus on the positives in life because there are always going to be negatives. 

Proud of the United States

Author’s Note:  Many people think the United States is a good country, and I agree with that. The United States of America is great and I am proud of it. So I just wanted to tell you about why I am proud of it.

Did you know that the United States of America has many great things to offer? This country has many things to offer like fast food restaurants and food pantries.   Also it has great schooling and jobs to work with! The United States of America has many things, are country has independence, and freedom of speech.

Our country also has a good schooling. You can be home-schooled, go to public schools, and private schools.  The United States has one of the top education systems in the world.  In a school day you have mathematics and English, because the USA does this technique so we receive the best possible education.  For a large amount of daily job you need math and reading. You might need science and social studies if you pick a job in those categories

The selection of food is great.  We get fresh food from local food markets, like carrots and corn.  Many people in our country live to 85-100 years.   If our food range was not the best we wouldn’t have people living right that are elder.                                                                                                                          
Our country also has many hospitals that are opened all-night for if you get sick.  Not all countries have people and hospitals to take care of them.  For people in different countries if they have the flu or something like that they can pass away easily if not treated.  In a country if we have the flu we just get medicine and then we are well.

The people in the United States are blessed because are country has independence and many other countries don’t have that.  Other than a few laws and rules, we get a lot of freedom in this country. 

Some other countries have dictators who tell the people what to do.  Our country doesn’t have that; we have presidents and mayors that help make the rules in our country, The United States of America.  If you do anything not smart you won’t have a large amount of freedom, but if you are smart and don’t get in big trouble you will have a lot of independence.

This why, the United States of America, is so successful.  That is why I am big-headed about our country!!  The people in the United States are helpful with neighbors by taking care of them when they are sick and all of those excellent things to do.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Pewaukee Homecoming a Great Time of the Year

Homecoming for Pewaukee

 Author's Note: Homecoming is a tradition at every high school has.  I picked to write about homecoming and I wanted you to learn about Pewaukee's.
The sky was cloudy, the roads were loud, and everyone was happy. There were cars and wagons coming down the street with people in the cars throwing candy. The Pewaukee Pirates played New Berlin West this year.  This means it is homecoming for the Pewaukee Pirates.  Yeah!!! Homecoming is an event that gets everyone excited and happy.

In Pewaukee’s homecoming there is a parade before the football game. There are people in cars and wagons throwing candy and coupons out the doors of the car. Also the band plays in the parade for entertainment.  Many people before the parade use and squirt silly string on people.

This year the Pewaukee Pirates played the New Berlin West football team.  We all thought it was going to be a close game, but Pewaukee came out in front.  It was a blowout 39-14.  All of the Pewaukee fans were happy because it is sad when you lose your homecoming game.  The great thing is Pewaukee won there’s!!

During the game, everyone was crazy and squirting silly string on people.  The homecoming game is great because it is funny when they squirt the silly string in your face. Also we get to hang out with are friends at the game.  Many people that we don’t see that much are there.  At half time it is time to stretch and get a bit to eat. Sometimes it is a long line, though but the food is great. It is worth the wait!  That is why homecoming is awesome and is very fun.

After the game many people go to parties and hang out.  People think the excitement is over after the game.  No it isn’t!  Many of the people after the game stay up until 12 A.M. partying.  They talk about the game and eat food.  Also they take pictures because we are all dressed up crazily with Pewaukee spirit wear, face paint, and are hair dyed red and black. 

The best Friday is when Pewaukee has homecoming. Homecoming is the greatest time for the school and students.  If there was no homecoming the football season wouldn’t be as good as it is. That special day isn’t something that you could take and no one would notice.  That football game and parade means a lot to people.
